Color of
My Roots
A recurring series celebrating Jamaican style, culture, and heritage.
With the release of the Jamaica Football Federation's newest kits designed by Wales Bonner x Adidas Football, World Soccer Shop wanted to celebrate Jamaican style, culture, and heritage in a recurring series titled “Color of My Roots.”
We built the project around authenticity, hiring talent and crew who reflected Jamaican culture both in front of and behind the camera. Bam Marley and Dani Jane were chosen as the featured faces of the series.
Drawing on my soccer expertise and network, I tied it all together into a story of Jamaican pride told from a football perspective.
We delivered a full-length film and a set of photos for World Soccer Shop's website, their “Color of My Roots” blog, and social media.
The film passed 10,000 views on YouTube, and the series earned more than 800,000 views and 1,200 likes on Instagram.
